Who Am I?
Hey! I'm Matt, a sound designer, producer, composer, and musician based in Hickory, NC. Thanks for stopping by! You can check out my portfolio and past work on the "Sounds" page. Here’s a little more about me:
Since 2019, I’ve had the privilege of serving as a Percussion Instructor for the Lenoir-Rhyne University Marching Band. I’ve also worked with several high school percussion ensembles, including Maiden HS, Hickory HS, and Lake Norman Charter, among others.
Beyond teaching, I spend a lot of time recording and producing music. In 2023, I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Berklee College of Music with a degree in Music Production. Taking what I’ve learned there, I’ve worked with artists like Isaac Benjamin and Gannon, helping bring their creative visions to life.
Most recently, I joined the audio team at Ark Studios, working on the game Branching Sickness. My role includes sound design, field recording, and contributing to the soundtrack—specifically by recording percussion stems and shaping percussion-driven tracks. Whether I’m playing bongos, recording explosions in the backyard, or designing the horrifying sounds of alien shape-shifting parasites, I’m thrilled to be part of this team.
